Terms of Service

Home Quirk Guide is operated by Beverly Lynn Garrett, an individual ("Home Quirk Guide", "we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the service. By creating an account or continuing to use Home Quirk Guide, you agree to them. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and, if acting for someone else, authorised to do so.

Home Quirk Guide lets a homeowner create and maintain one digital guide for one property and privately share it with sitters. The offer is US$19 as a one-time payment, with sitter sharing included. There is no subscription or recurring charge. A one-time payment is not a promise that the service will be available permanently.

Beverly Lynn Garrett operates and supports the Home Quirk Guide service. Paddle is the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for purchases. The purchase contract, checkout, payment, tax, invoice and refund process are handled by Paddle under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. Payment questions and refund requests should be directed to Paddle through paddle.net. Product-support and privacy questions may be sent to homequirkguide@gmail.com.

Keep your password and sitter links private. You are responsible for activity under your account, the accuracy of your guide, and deciding who receives a sitter link. Anyone holding an active link may see the guide associated with it until the link expires, is revoked or access otherwise ends.

You retain rights in the text, photos and videos you provide. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process and display that content to you and to people with sitter links you create. You must have the right to upload and share it. Rights-holder concerns may be sent to homequirkguide@gmail.com; we may remove infringing content and restrict repeat infringers.

Do not use the service unlawfully; for fraud or spam; to infringe rights; to distribute malware; to probe, scrape or interfere with security; to access another person's guide; to reverse engineer the service; or to resell or circumvent its limits.

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without implied warranties and liability is limited to the amount paid for the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

We may suspend or end access for a material breach, non-payment, fraud or security risk, or serious or repeated misuse. A confirmed full refund ends access provided by that purchase; separate owner access, complimentary access or another valid purchase is unaffected. Ending paid access does not automatically delete guide content. Contact homequirkguide@gmail.com regarding deletion.

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada. This does not limit mandatory rights or protections you may have under the law where you live.
